Faculty Professional Development Programs
The purpose of these programs is to facilitate faculty in their research, scholarship, and creative activity which will ultimately lead to their professional growth and to the enhancement of the student educational experience. These programs are administered by the Office of Academic Research under the advisement of the Faculty Professional Development Coordinating Committee (FPDCC), a Faculty Senate Committee. There are several grants designed to support faculty professional development. These include:
- Mini-grants: up to $5,000 for travel, supplies, student assistants, and assigned time.
- Summer Research Fellowships: a $3,000 stipend paid to faculty to engage in research during the summer.
- Faculty Research Leave: two course releases during one quarter.
- Research Study Program: up to $1,000 for travel.
